PARIS (FRA): Usain Bolt and gymnast Simone Biles are L’Equipe’s Male and Female Athletes of the Year. Bolt won the award called Champion des Champions for fifth time, he was on top also in 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2015. In the men top ten one more representative of athletics was Wayde Van Niekerk as 7th. In the women top ten Elaine Thompson is 3rd, Almaz Ayana 5th and Anita Wlodarczyk 7th.
