SAO PAULO (BRA): Olympic marathon gold medalist Jemima Sumgong is the latest top name announced for the 92nd Corrida de San Silvestre here on December 31. Already earlier confirmed were Ethiopian Ymer Ayalew and top Brazilian name Joziane da Silva Cardoso.

RunBlogRun opines: Jemima Sumgong had what can be described as a roller derby like year. Her fall at London precipitated a fine win in that April race, and her win in the humidity and heat of Rio showed her versatility. Good luck to Jemima in the San Silvestre race, won by many of the finest runners in the world.
