Tokyo 2020 budget adjusted down

TOKYO (JPN): Organisers of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo informed about their new budget of between Â¥1.6 trillion (Â£11 billion/$13.6 billion/â‚¬13.1 billion) and Â¥1.8 trillion (Â£12.4 billion/$15.3 billion/â‚¬14.7 billion). The official cost estimate, revealed during a Four-Party Political Working Group meeting, is down from the maximum budget cap of Â¥2 trillion (Â£13.8 billion/$17 billion/â‚¬16.4 billion) cited by Tokyo 2020 President YoshirÅ Mori last month.
