US SATURDAY (May 7):
LOS ANGELES: At Oxy Invitational fast 400 m by Gil Roberts 44.88 (he also won the 200 m in 20.68 +1.3). Another double winner was Trinidad´s Mikel Thomas 10.29 (+1.4) and 13.57 (+1.3) hurdles. Jamaican Isa Phillips was the best in 400 m hurdles 49.85. Carmelita Jeter won the 100 m in 11.42 (-0.9) just ahead of Lekeisha Lawson 11.43. In the 200 m opposite situation Lawson 23.25 (+2.4) ahead of Jeter 23.49. Ginnie Crawford topped the hurdles 12.91 (+1.4). In the 800 m Brenda Martinez 2:01.51 beating Violah Lagat 2:02.38.
LEXINGTON: Stephen Mozia achieved Nigerian shot put record 20.73 at the Kentucky Relays. Hurdles World leader Kendra Harrison won flat sprints in 11.35 (+0.7) and 23.00 (+1.4), both personal bests. Excellent long jump personal best 681 (+1.2) by Kenyatta Hackworth. Double winners also Canadian decathlon star Damian Warner 13.42 (+1.3) hurdles and 765 (+0.5) long jump and Trinidad´s sprinter Rondell Sorrillo 10.39 (+0.6) and 20.43 (+0.6).
AUSTIN: Trayvon Bromell clocked windy 10.00 (+3.2) at the Longhorn Invitational ahead of Olympic medalist Richard Thompson 10.21 and Mookie Salaam 10.25. In the 200 m Salaam 20.45 (+3.9) over Diondre Batson 20.49. Logan Cunningham cleared 570 in pole vault and equaled his PB. On the women side Olympic winner Jenn Suhr got 475 (and tried at 493) over Kaitlin Petrillose 450. British record holder Goldie Sayers won the javelin 58.79. Women sprints also wind-aided. Alexandria Anderson 10.97 (+5.3) and 22.53 (+4.7), also Christina Manning hurdles 12.67 (+2.9) over Tiffani McReynolds 12.76.
LINCOLN: 20 years old Malcolm White improved in the 100 m at the Nebraska Invitational to 10.20 (+1.8).
BOONE: 32 years old Mitchell Pope got 20.28 shot put at Appalachian Open meet.
GREENSBORO: New fast sprinter from Monroe College is Christopher Belcher who improved at MEAC Championships to 10.07 (+1.9) and 20.39 (+1.2). Joel Roberson won the 400 m in 45.66 PB.
LEWISBURG: Cameron Williams won the 200 m at Patriot League Conference Championships with 20.56 (0.0) life-time best.
OTHER TRACK RESULTS
ST. MARTIN (FRA, May 7): The Caribbean Speedy plus Caribbean meeting had Dominican Republic sprinter Yancarlos Martinez winning the 100 m in 10.49 (-3.2) and 200 m in 20.49 (-1.3) beating World finalist Zharnel Hughes of Britain 20.62. Lee Marvin Bonevacia topped the 400 m in 46.29 and Jamaican Damar Forbes won the long jump 773 (0.0). Italian Libania Grenot won the 400 m in 51.52 and 200 m in 23.23 (-2.0).
FUKUROI (JPN, May 3): Late addition the 32nd Shizuoka meet. Shota Iizuka won the 200 m in 20.38 (+1.0) ahead of World youth champion Hakim Sani-Brown 20.54. Keisuke Nozawa topped the 400 m hurdles 49.07 and US Barbara Pierre got the 200 m in 23.99 (-1.5).
MITO (JPN, May 5): Australian Melissa Breen won here the 100 m in 11.43 (+1.0), in men 100 m Ippei Takeda 10.27 (+1.0). Another Australian win in women hurdles 13.13 by Breanna Beahan.
BELFAST (GBR, May 7): Ciara Mageean was first woman home in the mixed 3000 m in 9:07.47 here.
NEWHAM (GBR, May 8): Chijindu Ujah won here the 100m in 10.19 (-1.4) and 200m in 20.48 (+0.3). Sean Safo Antwi was second in the 100m in 10.32 and in the 200 m second Chris Clarke 20.75, with Safo Antwi third 20.76 PB. Khai Riley Laborde won the 110 m Hurdles in a personal best 13.70 (-0.2). Ashleigh Nelson was the best in women 100 m 11.44 (-2.2) and Bianca Williams won the 200m in 23.51 (-1.4).
AREZZO (ITA, May 7-8): Lamont Jacobs here at Interclubs improvement to 10.32 (+1.4) in the 100 m. Andrea Lemmi cleared 222 in the high jump and Julie Chekwell of Uganda won the 5000 m in 15:42.51.
UDINE (ITA, May 8): At Italian Interclubs Desiree Rosit cleared 190 in the high jump, her outdoor PB.
FRANCONVILLE (FRA, May 8): European co-record holder in the 100 m Jimmy Vicaut won the 200 m at Interclubs with 20.53 (-1.2). Harold Correa got 16.54 (-0.9) in triple jump and World junior champion 2014 Axel Chapelle cleared 540 in the pole vault.
GRENOBLE (FRA, May 8): European champion Christophe Lemaitre clocked here 10.14 (+1.9) in the 100 m. Valentin Lavillenie cleared 560 in the pole vault. In women events to note Floria Guei 23.06 (0.0) in the 200 m, Melina Robert-Michon 59.00 in discus and Alexandra Tavernier 68.14 in hammer.
AIX-EN-PROVENCE (FRA, May 8): World indoor champion Eloyse Lesueur got at Interclubs here 632 in long jump and Cindy Billaud 13.92 over the hurdles against -3.7 wind.
BORDEAUX (FRA, May 8): Pierre-Ambroise Bosse started with 1:46.94 800 m win at Interclubs meet. Belgian Arnaud Art cleared 555 in the pole vault.
WETZLAR (GER, May 7): Fast sprints here as Tatjana Pinto clocked 11.19 (+1.1, equaled her PB) in the 100 m ahead of Lisa Mayer 11.25 PB. In men 100 m Michael Pohl 10.34 (+1.8) beating Florian Daum 10.39, for both personal bests. Decathlete Jan Felix Knobel achieved here 68.75 in javelin and 15.72 in shot put.
ZUG (SUI, May 7): World and Olympic winner Valerie Adams got in shot put here 19.52, second best result of 2016 behind Chinese World leader Gong Lijiao 19.77 (in April).
CARTAGENA (COL, May 7): At South American GP meet Bernardo Baloyes won the 200 m in 20.64 (+1.6) ahead of Diego Palomeque 20.79. The 100 m by Palomeque in 10.26 was wind-aided +2.7. Jhon Perlaza won the 400 m in 46.23. Another top triple mark by Jhon Freddy Murillo 16.71 and Mauricio Ortega 62.22 in discus. In women hurdles Lina Florez 13.17 (+1.7) and Cuban Liuba Zaldivar windy 14.03 in triple jump (legal 14.01).
KIELCE (POL, May 8): At 7th Furmanek Memorial in throws world leading hammer by Pawel Fajdek 79.12. Second World bronze winner Wojciech Nowicki 74.24. In men shot put Michal Haratyk European leading result and his outdoor PB 21.23. Second Mateusz Mikos 19.88, Konrad Bukowiecki this time fourth 19.19. In women hammer Joanna Fiodorow 71.87 and in discus Robert Urbanek 63.97.
WROCLAW (POL, May 8): National junior record in heptathlon for Weronika Grzelak with 5625 points.
STALOWA WOLA (POL, May 8): World champion Piotr Malachowski after return from winning in Doha achieved here 66.93 in discus in the first round.
