CHORZOW (POL): Chorzow in Poland in considering to bid for the European Championships in 2024. It was confirmed in an interview with Przeglad Sportowy by Polish federation Vice President and two time olympic winner Tomasz Majewski. “We want to try for the 2024 European Championships. I m aware the stadium is new and Chorzow is not so well known. We must continue to explain to international people where is Chorzow, where are Katowice,” said Majewski and added this is good time for Polish athletics with lot of success at international championships. Recent Kamila Skolimowska Memorial with 41 000 spectators confirmed that. The National Stadium for athletics in Chorzow is technically with its infrastructure ready for any event in athletics, noted Majewski.
